Balanced diaphragm first stages deliver stable breathing air at 30 meters regardless of tank pressure.

We service and rent technical regulator sets configured with environmentally sealed first stages, pneumatically balanced second stages, under-chin octopus routing, and tempered glass submersible pressure gauges.

Regulator Architecture & Bench Calibration Stages

Every regulator set rented or serviced through Budi Dive follows four strict quality stages on our workshop line.

First Stage Machining & Environmental Dry Chamber Sealing

Marine Brass • Chrome Plating • Sealed Diaphragm

Unlike unbalanced piston regulators that stiffen as cylinder pressure drops from 200 bar down to 50 bar, our balanced diaphragm first stages isolate the internal spring and poppet mechanism inside an environmentally sealed silicone chamber. Sand, salt crystals, and Florida limestone silt never touch internal moving parts.

Demand Second Stage & Venturi Flow Control

Pneumatically Balanced • Micro-Adjustment Knob • Silicone Exhaust

Primary and alternate second stages feature cracking effort adjustment down to 1.1 inches of water. A calibrated Venturi dive/pre-dive lever prevents high-flow freeflows when stepping off boat gunwales into coastal currents while delivering instantaneous gas upon natural inhalation.

DIN 300 BAR Versus Standard Yoke Valve Interface

Captive O-Ring Geometry • High Pressure Tolerances

We configure regulators for both five-thread DIN (300 bar rated) and standard marine Yoke (A-clamp) connections. DIN fittings enclose the sealing O-ring directly inside the cylinder valve face, eliminating the risk of extrusion under accidental tank contact during wreck or spring entries.

DIN Rating 300 BAR / 4350 PSI
Yoke Rating 232 BAR / 3365 PSI
Adapter Swaps On-Site < 2 MIN

Inspection Bench Protocol & Magnehelic Calibration

Water Column Vacuum Test • Intermediate Pressure Creep Check

Before any regulator leaves our 803 North Tampa Street workshop, our technician connects the first stage to a 200-bar test tank. The system sits under observation for 5 minutes to verify zero intermediate pressure creep on an oil-damped analog gauge. A Magnehelic gauge tests second stage cracking effort.

  • Creep threshold: Exactly 0.0 bar variation over a 300-second lockup test.
  • Hose integrity: Miflex braided carbon-reinforced hoses inspected for braiding wear.
  • High-pressure swivel: Dual Viton O-rings replaced on submersible pressure gauge spool.

What We Refuse to Do With Life-Support Regulators

We do not rent unserviced regulators. If a rental unit returns with sand jammed into the purge button or evidence of saltwater ingress through an uncapped dust cap, that unit immediately gets removed from rotation and scheduled for full ultrasonic bath teardown.

We do not service off-brand gray market regulator assemblies for which the manufacturer cannot provide original factory replacement kits and torque specifications. We use only OEM Viton O-rings and factory calibrated high-pressure poppets.
