Every cylinder fill is cooled in a water bath to guarantee true 3000 PSI working pressure.

We blend pure Grade E breathing air and Enriched Air Nitrox at 803 North Tampa Street. We inspect internal sidewalls with fiber-optic boroscopes and hydrostatic test on a strict 5-year federal schedule.

Gas Blending & Cylinder Inspection Stages

Our dive cylinder air fills tampa station runs multi-stage filtration media to scrub hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and water vapor down to zero before gas enters any valve.

High-Pressure Water-Cooled Compressor Fill Station

3000 to 3442 PSI • Water Immersion Troughs • Dual Whips

Cylinders that get filled rapidly in open air heat up due to the gas laws. When they hit cool Florida ocean water, their pressure drops 300 to 400 PSI. We submerge every cylinder inside a fresh water cooling tank during compression, ensuring you walk out with a true 3000 PSI fill when the tank reaches room temperature.

Modular Valve Rebuilding & Burst Disk Replacement

DIN/K Valve Seats • 4000 PSI Burst Plugs • Viton O-Rings

Cylinder valves contain brass stems, Teflon packing seals, and copper rupture disks designed to vent if overpressurized. Every visual inspection at our shop includes disassembling the handwheel, sonic cleaning the valve body, replacing the dip tube, and checking neck thread integrity under 10x optical magnification.

Enriched Air Nitrox Blending (EANx 32% & 36%)

Partial Pressure • Continuous Membrane • Signed Fill Log

We blend recreational Nitrox mixes calibrated to within 0.5% of target fraction. Divers analyze their cylinder using our bench digital oxygen analyzer, calculate their maximum operating depth (MOD), write the blend on the cylinder tape, and sign the official station register before leaving the shop.

Annual Visual (VIP) & 5-Year Hydrostatic Schedule

DOT-3AL Aluminium • DOT-3AA Steel • Neck Eddy Current Testing

Cylinders require an annual visual inspection decal (VIP) and a 5-year hydrostatic pressure expansion test stamped into the crown. We use an eddy-current electronic tester on older 6351-alloy neck threads to verify zero intergranular stress cracking before applying pressure.

  • Visual Inspection (VIP): $20 including valve O-ring and inspection decal.
  • Hydrostatic Test: $55 including test stamp, VIP decal, and fresh air fill.
  • Oxygen Cleaning: $45 for chemical tumbling and Viton O-ring rebuild.

Strict Refusal Policy

Tanks We Will Never Fill at Our Station

We refuse to fill any cylinder that lacks a valid 5-year hydrostatic test stamp or a current visual inspection sticker. No exceptions. We do not accept verbal promises that "the tank was just inspected somewhere else."

We refuse to fill cylinders showing external pitting deeper than 0.8mm, arc burn marks, fire exposure discolouration, or bent valve stems. A 3000 PSI pressure vessel holds over 1.2 million foot-pounds of potential kinetic energy. We do not take shortcuts with compressor safety.
