Florida springs stay at 72°F year-round; 5mm limestone neoprene stops core thermal drain.

Water conducts body heat 25 times faster than air. We fit and rent high-density 3mm and 5mm anatomical neoprene steamers, blindstitched to eliminate cold water flushing through torso seams.

We match suit thickness, seal geometry, and boot pairings directly to your planned dive site depth and freshwater versus marine salinity.

Wetsuit Rental Fleet & Workshop Drying Bay

Men's and Women's Sizing • Broad Hanger Air Drying • Disinfectant Rinse

Our suit inventory spans XS through 3XL in dedicated anatomical cuts. Following every dive return, suits soak in a medical-grade disinfectant bath before hanging on contoured wide-shoulder hangers inside our high-airflow drying bay. You never receive a damp, stiff, or foul-smelling suit over our counter.

Seam Integrity: Glued, Blindstitched & Liquid Taped

Zero Perforation Seams • Smoothskin Ankle Seals

Cheaper flatlock seams punch needles entirely through the neoprene, letting continuous jets of 72°F spring water flush across your chest. Our 5mm suits use blindstitching where the curved needle penetrates only halfway through the neoprene, backed with vulcanized liquid rubber tape along stress points.

Thermal Protocol: Florida Springs vs. Gulf Thermoclines

Water Temperature Matrix • Neoprene Compression at Depth

In Central Florida freshwater springs, temperature is fixed at 72°F (22°C). In the Gulf of Mexico, surface water can measure 84°F in July, while wreck structures sitting at 90 feet experience a drop to 68°F beneath the thermocline. As neoprene compresses at 3 atmospheres, a 5mm suit thins to approximately 2.5mm.

Accessory Protection: Hoods, Boots & Supratex Kneepads

5mm Hard-Sole Boots • Flow-Vented Neoprene Hoods

The head accounts for significant radiant thermal loss. For dives exceeding 50 minutes in springs or deep Gulf ledges, we provide 3mm vented hoods with micro-perforated bubble release valves that allow exhaust bubbles to escape without ballooning the hood off your crown.

  • 5mm vulcanized rubber dive boots with puncture-resistant soles for limestone shore entry.
  • Supratex four-way stretch knee pads prevent abrasion on rocky surfaces.
  • Heavy-duty YKK #10 marine zipper with full internal sealing water dam.

Why We Will Not Rent Ill-Fitting Suits

If a wetsuit is too large, cold water pools across the small of your back and circulates continuously with every fin kick, inducing uncontrollable shivering within twenty minutes. If it is too small, it restricts diaphragm expansion and impedes deep, rhythmic breathing.

Divers must try on exposure suits at our 803 North Tampa Street fitting area before departure. If our stock sizes do not match your proportions cleanly, we state so immediately rather than sending you into cold spring water in an unsafe thermal kit.
